Woolpower has been making thermal wear in Östersund, northern Sweden, since 1969, developing their signature Ullfrotté material with the Swedish military in the early 1970s. The 400 series (70% merino wool, 28% polyamide, 2% elastane) uses a seamless, terry-looped knit that traps air for serious insulation while wicking moisture away from the skin.

Designed as a mid-layer for cold conditions or low-activity use — think guard duty or deep winter stillness — it's a favorite among military, hunters, and outdoor users alike. Merino wool also resists odor, so it holds up over multiple days in the field without washing.
