Frequently Asked Questions - SpezKr.

Ordering & Products

Are these items genuine military issue?

Yes — the vast majority of our stock is authentic, issued military and government surplus equipment sourced from authorized surplus channels and legitimate army supliers. Where an item is a commercial/civilian reproduction (for example, there exists civilian and army issued version of XY product with slight differences in markings, colors etc.), then this is clearly stated in the product description.

What's the difference between "new" and "used" items?

"New" means unissued stock, often straight from storage or manufacturers stock — it may show light signs of storage (creasing, a faint smell from packaging) but has never been worn or used in the field.

"Used" items were actually issued and worn, and are graded by condition — see our condition scale below.

How do you grade the condition of used items?

We use the following scale on every used product listing:

Grade Description
Excellent (9–10/10) Worn but very lightly — minimal signs of use, no visible damage or heavy fading.
Very Good (7–8/10) Clear signs of genuine use, but fully functional and free of damage — a "well cared for" issued item.
Good (5–6/10) Noticeable wear consistent with field use — fading, minor repairs, or small marks that don't affect function.
Fair (3–4/10) Heavier wear — visible patches, repairs, or fading. Still fully functional; priced accordingly.

Every used listing includes photos of the actual items in the category (not stock photos, yet two "good" marked items might look a shy different - if you want to see the EXACT item you will be getting, PM us through Contacts) wherever possible, so you can judge condition for yourself before buying.

Do used items smell, or need cleaning before use?

Surplus items coming out of long-term storage sometimes carry a mild, characteristic "storage" smell — this is normal and not a hygiene issue. We recommend airing items out or washing according to the care label before first use. Gear with waterproof membranes (Gore-Tex etc.) should be washed at 30–40°C without fabric softener or bleach to preserve the membrane.

Do you sell weapons, or does this gear offer ballistic protection?

No. We do not sell firearms, ammunition, or live ordnance. Some personal protection items (such as decorative plate inserts) are explicitly sold for weight/fit purposes only and provide no ballistic or impact protection — this is always stated clearly in the product description where relevant.

Can I request an item I don't see listed?

Yes — email us and we'll let you know if it's something we can source. We regularly acquire new surplus batches, so it's worth asking.

Sizing

How do I know what size to order?

Check our Size Guide page for general men's sizing across tops, trousers, and headwear, including NATO military size codes. Because we carry gear from many different manufacturers and eras, exact fit can vary — where we have specific measurements for a used item, we list them directly on the product page.

What does "one size" mean for gear like pouches or belts?

Most tactical gear (pouches, plate carriers, belts) uses adjustable straps/webbing and fits a wide range of body types — "one size" reflects that it isn't cut to a specific body measurement the way clothing is.

Shipping

Where do you ship to?

We ship from Prague, CZ to the whole EU, the UK, the USA, and Asia, via Czech post. If your country is not on the list, please contact us.

How long does delivery take?

See our Payment and Shipping page for estimated delivery windows by destination. Domestic and EU orders are typically fastest (1-4 days); international shipments outside the EU can take longer (5-21 days) due to import country customs processing.

Will I have to pay customs or import fees?

If you're ordering from outside the EU (including the USA), your country may charge customs duties or import taxes on arrival — these aren't included in our prices and are the buyer's responsibility. For US orders specifically, some carriers require duties to be paid or prepaid before delivery; this will be shown at checkout if it applies.

Can I track my order?

Yes — you'll receive a tracking number by email as soon as your order ships. If you didn't get any tracking number after 2-3 days after purchase, let us know.

Payment

What payment methods do you accept?

We accept credit/debit cards and PayPal through Shopify's secure checkout. All prices are shown in EUR.

Is it safe to enter my card details on your site?

Yes — payment is processed securely through Shopify's payment system; we never see or store your full card details.

Returns & Complaints

Can I return an item if I change my mind?

Yes — EU customers have a legal right to withdraw from a purchase within 14 days without giving a reason. See our Right of Withdrawal page for the full process.

What if an item arrives damaged or not as described?

Contact us within 14 days of delivery with photos and your order number — we'll offer a repair, replacement, or full refund, including return shipping costs. See our Refund Policy page for details.

Does normal wear on a used item count as a valid return reason?

No — if a used item arrives matching the condition and photos shown in the listing, that's not grounds for a "faulty item" return. It may still qualify under your standard 14-day withdrawal right, though normal legal handling limits apply (see our Right of Withdrawal page).

Business & Bulk Orders

Do you offer discounts for police, military, or government units?

No, our pricing is set as low as possible. Most of our customers are government employees anyway, so it would not make sense to offer "discount" to most of the customers.

Can I buy in bulk, or discuss a wholesale order?

Yes — email us with what you're looking for and quantities, and we'll get back to you with availability and pricing.

Do you sell to reenactment groups, milsim teams, or airsoft teams?

Yes — many of our customers are exactly this crowd. Get in touch if you're outfitting a group and need help matching specific units, kit, or a consistent look. We can also point you out to some groups in your area, shooting ranges or get you into the right communities online, to share your passion for gear and milsim.

Other

Do you buy surplus gear from individuals?

Yes, let us know what you have and we might work that out.

What does SpezKr mean?
SpezKr is a shortened version of Spezialkräfte, meaning "Special Forces" in German-speaking countries. It doesn't imply that we are Special Forces — it's a military lifestyle brand. It's not connected to any unit or military organization, yet we're heavily influenced by NATO armies' gear styles, choices, and manufacturers. Same as FOG isn't a real unit — it's just an image.

The idea behind the SpezKr name is to provide Special Forces–worthy gear for everyday users — people who can enjoy European quality at a reasonable price, whether they're actual SF, regular army, leisure range visitors, or simply student hikers.

Are you real KSK?
No. This website is just Special Forces–inspired, let's say "themed." We have nothing to do with any active military personnel, nor with any military or government organization. We are not part of any of that, and we are not speaking on behalf of any official institutional body. Nor are we trying to act like one.

Is this a psyops website?
No.
